A friend of mine in L.A. told me I had to catch a video of an amazing mash-up performed by Sam and Casey a few years ago, and in an instant, I was hooked on the amazing talent, voices and musical creativity of these guys. Since then I've joined millions of fans and followers of the group of never-ending talent that surrounds Sam and KHS and my life has been the better for their wonderful music and videos.
As a performer, about a hundred years ago, I just wish I had one percent of the vocal talent and musical creativity or any of the myriad singers, musicians, dancers and performing artists that Sam and his friends introduce through their music videos.
As a member of the human race, this is the kind of wonder our species can achieve that allows me to forget the horrors we are constantly creating around the world, providing the light that promises we are not wasting our time hoping for a better future for all mankind. Maybe big words, some might say, but this level of creativity and constant effort to entertain millions of people around the world gives me hope that we are not as lost as we may feel sometimes, and I believe that is one of the unique abilities rare talent like Sam and Kurt bring to us all.
I've thanked my friend in Los Angeles so many times for introducing me to Sam and the many talented individuals and groups I've enjoyed when watching their videos.
There are musicians, great musicians, and even Legends, but none have ever kept me so entertained as KHS, with his fantastic and diversely talented group of friends creating amazing videos of both unique compositions and covers of some of the best artists ever to perform on a stage.
Sam Tsui and Casey performing a mash-up first introduced me to this wonderful group of people that seem to a never-ending talent pool to keep stretching the boundaries of real entertainment, not simply covering a song, but recreating the experience from scratch to often better the original experience.
Anyone who has not enjoyed at least one of Kurt & Crews creations is missing out in a very big way.
King of Mash-up is a misrepresentation, as the creative talent of this truly amazing guy is far beyond that, but it's a great start
